Love and Integrity

are friends though

austere,

unassuming and quiet.

One is life

giving,

the other

life sustaining.

Betrayal

is their common enemy—

its existence is

soundless,

corrosive,

shocking,

blind.

Shaily Sahay is a computer engineer. She also works as a freelance writer, editor, translator and a voice artist. She lives in Bombay and is working on her first novel.
